Old Jackson River Cattle Track, NZ. 1991

The scene is from the banks of the Jackson River in region of Jacksons Bay South Westland South Island New Zealand. The track is very accessible once the river has been crossed and is a stunning walk should you ever travel to the area. It is highly recommended. The River flats are grazed under permit by local farmers and the Hereford stock are then rounded up annually for drenching etc. It can only be achieved via horse back and keen locals gather together to help and partake in a great adventure and ride through an amazingly beautiful part of New Zealand. The track then regenerates until the next season. It is otherwise unused.
